The Next House

11 Months. I’ve been hibernating longer than any normal person should. I’m kidding. There is no way I was sleeping that whole time with a fire haired toddler running amok. Did you miss me? Good. Me too.

So, let’s get right down to then shall we? In the past 11 months, I’ve changed jobs, planned a birthday party, cancelled said birthday party, sold a house, moved, bought a house, moved again, and now here we are. Where are we you ask? Well this little lady moved to the country! That’s right- I literally have cows as my new neighbors and I’m totally cool with it. The reason I’m cool with it is because tucked away in this country pasture was a beautiful old house waiting to be discovered by my family. This is my “the next house” and they call her the Fuller Farm (or Farmhouse as I like to refer to it cause the barn part of the farm is not ours, but I’m not opposed to having chickens and such… I’m just worried because I can barely keep plants alive…wait, how do I have a child…??).

Ain’t she pretty?!

I will get into the history of this place a little later- I myself need to do some digging (so excited for that!) For now- I wanted to introduce her, cause there is nothing I like better than a good makeover!

For those of you who don’t know me well, I will tell ya, I just love redoing my house…. Over and over until I get it right – sorry husband! In the past few years, I have learned what I love, what I don’t love, and what I think is “not horrible”. I’ve watched way too much HGTV, walked around Hobby Lobby for far too long, and lusted after every single thing I could monogram from Pottery Barn. But now is the time- it’s “the next house” and I must get it right, the first time (yeah, I’m rolling my eyes too, but doesn’t that sounds like such an awesome plan?). So, I invite you to join me as I tackle one room at a time through the good, the bad, and the very, very ugly… I mentioned that I’m doing this around a pre-teen toddler right?
